t’s as quick as takeout (if you plan it appropriately) but only made with the best ingredients. That’s a total win in my book! Check out the recipe below to see just how to make Slow Cooker General Tso’s Chicken at home.

INGREDIENTS:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
¾ c. cornstarch
1 tbsp. Vegetable oil
½ c. hoisin sauce
2 tbsp. Soy sauce
½ c. brown sugar
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 tbsp. Rice wine vinegar
1 tsp. Sesame oil
¼ tsp. Dry ginger
½ tsp. Crushed red pepper
Green onions, sesame seeds, and additional red pepper flakes for garnish

DIRECTIONS:
In a bowl, combine chicken and cornstarch. Toss until the chicken is evenly coated. Heat a medium skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Once hot, add in chicken and cook until it is lightly browned but not cooked throughout. Add to your slow cooker.

In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, rice wine vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and crushed red pepper. Pour atop the chicken. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until chicken is cooked thoroughly. Serve with rice and garnish to your liking
